Do You Have Goals #1

Five Year Project: Do You Have Goals?

Primary Goal: Sell an average of seven hard copy books or 35 e-books a day

February's Goals: Sell seven hard copies or 35 e-books

Actual Writing:
Finish rough draft of chapters 4-6 of current writing project (aprx 11,000 words)
Arrange and attend a meeting with my Crit Group
Research the historical rituals of trial by combat

Marketing:
Re-establish consistent social media presence via blogger, twitter, and Facebook
Attend and perform at 4 poetry open mics

Keeping myself focused:
Daily yoga
Daily entries in gratitude journal
Daily meditation

Starting small so I can keep focused and not get overwhelmed. It's so easy to get overly ambitious and burn myself out. I'm focusing on consistency first. Wish me luck!

  1. Best of luck, Taryn! And hello!

I've been eyeing your stunning covers -- one of the finest on Amazon. White Hart reminded me how much I need to go back and re-read the Chr├ętien's romances and Le Morte d'Arthur. :)

And I'm with you on consistency; even though I want to do everything at once, I know in the long run it's better to plan and slowly tackle my goals.

I'll keep tabs on your blog, see how you report in February. Til then!

  2. Thank you Marna! I have a very special artist who does them for me :-)

And you're right. It is so tempting to try to jump in and try to do everything.

  4. Welcome to the bloghop, Taryn! :) I agree with your approach at starting small. You definitely don't want to reach a point where you are overwhelmed and start to become anxious. Either way, I'm rooting for you and I'm sure you'll accomplish your goals. Good luck! :)
